Elizabeth Donaldson serves as Director of Nursing at Community Based Services, where she works closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, person-centered healthcare and support. She believes that excellent nursing care begins with respect, compassion, and a commitment to helping people live healthy, meaningful lives.
Elizabeth brings more than four decades of nursing experience and over a decade of leadership experience in organizations serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
Throughout her career, she has led nursing teams, developed clinical programs, strengthened staff training initiatives, and helped organizations improve healthcare services while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.Before joining Community Based Services, Elizabeth held Director of Nursing positions in both long-term care and developmental disability service organizations, overseeing medical services, infection control programs, staff education, and regulatory compliance. She has also served as a Nurse Educator, providing training in areas such as medication administration, infection prevention, CPR, and other essential healthcare practices.
Known for her practical leadership style and hands-on approach, Elizabeth is passionate about supporting nursing staff, promoting continuous learning, and ensuring that individuals receive the highest standard of care. Her years of experience, commitment to service, and dedication to those she supports make her a valued member of the Community Based Services leadership team.
