Job Readiness Skills
CBS provides a comprehensive path to employment by combining hard and soft skills training with real-world experiences. Participants gain technical skills, practice communication and teamwork, and build confidence through job shadowing, mentorship, and job exploration. Leadership opportunities help individuals grow into roles where they can thrive, contribute, and inspire others.
Good Reasons
Good Reasons Social Enterprises
As part of its mission, Community Based Services creates innovative ways to provide jobs for people of all abilities. For the people we support, employment means greater self-sufficiency, the opportunity to apply skills and greater inclusion in the community. Our social enterprise, Good Reasons Dog Treat Bakery, gives people of all abilities the chance to learn, work, and shine while creating drool-worthy treats that pets (and their owners) love.
Community Partnerships
Collaborations with businesses such as WIN Waste Innovations, Westchester County Parks, Materion, and VistaLab provide real-world opportunities for training, growth, and lasting careers. From job shadowing and mentoring to internships and careers, we open doors—and help people thrive at work and in life.
