Community Based Services Foundation Receives a $250,000 in-kind Donation to Establish Ceramics Program
Patterson, NY – Community Based Services (CBS) is thrilled to announce a transformative $250,000 in-kind donation to establish a ceramic arts program at its Hudson Valley InterArts Center in Patterson, NY. This incredible gift was made by Lisa Kroll, a local philanthropist and art studio owner, who has long been passionate about fostering creativity and self-expression for people of all abilities. Ms. Kroll, inspired by CBS’s new InterArts Center, appreciates its inclusive approach to fostering artistic talent and community connections. Thanks to her generosity, a fully equipped ceramics studio will be up and running within the next few months, with a formal dedication planned for later this year.
Expanding Creative Possibilities
“We are so grateful to Ms. Kroll for her generous donation and support to expand vital programs that blend artistic expression with empowerment,” says CBS’ CEO Vicki Sylvester, Ph.D. The Hudson Valley InterArts Center is a groundbreaking initiative where art and music fellows, interns, and community members collaborate to support individuals with all abilities in realizing their creative potential.
To continue this momentum, the CBS Foundation has identified additional donor opportunities, allowing individuals, businesses, and community partners to name studios or programs in honor of a loved one or their organization. This commitment to fostering artistic inclusion will extend beyond Patterson, enriching communities throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. CBS is pleased to announce that a second InterArts Center will be opening this spring in the Capital Region of New York! To bring this vision to life, we’re working to complete essential renovations and acquire the creative equipment needed to make the space truly inspiring. This expansion presents a wonderful opportunity for our families, supporters, and donors to play a vital role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive arts community.
