Anthony, a much loved participant in CBS programs, will appear in the bright lights of Times Square on Saturday, September 6, as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) Times Square Video Presentation. The one-hour video of 500+ photographs includes children, teens, and adults with Down syndrome from all 50 states and 11 countries. These collective images highlight individuals with Down syndrome in the most visible way – on two screens in the heart of Times Square.
The photo of Anthony was selected from more than 2,600 entries in the NDSS worldwide call for photos. His photo will be shown on two Jumbotron screens thanks to the support of ClearChannel Outdoor. The two screens are above Dos Caminos restaurant in Father Duffy Square. The presentation will be livestreamed on the NDSS Facebook page from 9:30-10:30am ET on September 6.
Anthony Selected as Grand Marshal to Lead NYC Buddy Walk
Anthony was selected as this year’s Grand Marshal of the NDSS signature Buddy Walk® in New York City. As Grand Marshal, he will kick-off the event in Times Square by leading over 2,500 people in a walk around Central Park!
The Buddy Walks® were started by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to promote acceptance and inclusion, raise money for Down syndrome organizations and celebrate people with Down syndrome.
To support Anthony and NDSS, please donate here. NDSS is dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families by driving policy change, providing resources, engaging with local communities, and helping shift public perceptions.
