Creativity & Care in Everything we Offer.
One in four Americans has a disability, and many face barriers to fully engaging in their communities. At CBS, we believe everyone we serve deserves to engage in a life that is productive and full. That’s why we add a layer of creativity and care into all of our individualized Day Hab, Community and Vocational services for children and adults with disabilities.
Take our newest innovation — the Hudson Valley InterArts Center, which is fast becoming a vibrant arts hub with satellite locations throughout the Hudson Valley.
People of all abilities take interactive classes in music, art, crafts, pottery, dance, drama, yoga and more. Our class schedule has grown from 2 to 6 days per week. Growth plans continue with the renovation of the InterArts Center to include a performance center, personal art spaces and a pottery studio. A music and podcast recording studio is slated to open later this year. Check out more details at hudsonvalleyinterarts.org.
According to the Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation, “The arts enhance lives in many ways. They improve both personal and academic success, from the beginning of a child’s education through the time of adulthood and career.” CBS’s vibrant new Art Program offers all of this while meeting the daily, functional, educational, fitness and creative needs of our participants. This is precisely why we put creativity and care in everything we offer!
