Since February 1, 2024, Lisbeth Ehrlich has been donating montly to CBS. She first discovered the organization when InterArts opened and was on the news, while she was searching for a day program for her son, Aaron. After looking into it, it ended up being exactly what she needed. Aaron now takes classes at InterArts, where he is able to choose his own schedule. Lisbeth shared that this gives him a sense of independence, “like college” and allows him to do his classes while also having free time for himself.
The InterArts is a program serving both the Hudson Valley and Capital Region, aimed at creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where the social and emotional well–being of someone, gets strengthened through art and creativity.
Lisbeth says she keeps giving because she believes everyone should have access to programs like this. Something that really stands out to her is how CBS supports not just kids, but adults, families, and caregivers too. She knows that forming connections can be hard and sees CBS as a place that really brings people together.
“Anytime you have a place where people can get together and have fun, it brings community” Lisbeth states.
When it comes to being a donor, Lisbeth doesn’t focus on being recognized- she just wants to give back to the community. She also spoke very highly of CBS, saying that the staff are “the best, hands down” and that the support provided here is something she hasn’t seen anywhere else.
To Lisbeth it’s simple- if it helps people in the community; it matters, especially for those who often go unseen.
