The Second Annual CBS Charity Golf event brought together passionate golfers and kind-hearted individuals on August 28th for a day of friendly competition and fairway fun at Hollow Brook Golf Club. Their love for the sport raised $45,490 and made a tangible difference for the people CBS supports.
Funds raised benefited the Hudson Valley InterArts Center and its satellite locations throughout Westchester and Dutchess Counties. The InterArts Center is the newest innovation of CBS and is a place that empowers and uplifts people with disabilities through the transformative power of the arts.
Beyond the chance to showcase golf skills and enjoy the scenic beauty of the golf course, the day offered an array of exciting activities and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. Prizes and raffles added an extra layer of excitement to the event, ensuring an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Some very happy golfers went home with certificates for group golf outings at esteemed clubs, customized floral arrangements, luxurious stays at inviting inns, a dinner at Augie’s Steakhouse, golf fitness assessments, and thrilling experiences like Spins Hudson. One lucky winner of the grand prize went home with a large screen Samsung TV!
After a delightful lunch in the clubhouse, including Jamaican patties donated by Tower Isle, it was off to a shot gun start. The skill on the golf course was admirable and we had many winners. Congratulations to:
Nina Patton, Ashely Clark and Stephen Patton for 1st Place Gross
Joseph Gorman, Adam Renwick, Kyle Kreuscher, Gary Jackman for 2nd Place Gross
Renee Bernay, Ralph Dyckman, Kim Huber, Bill Dolock for Most Honest
Eric Romanino for Nearest to Pin Hole 3
Mark Sutherland for Nearest to Pin Hole 5 and Hole 17
Steven Carpanini for Nearest to Pin Hole 12
Stephen Patton for Men’s Longest Drive Hole 18
Ashley Yozzo for Women’s Longest Drive Hole 18
As the day on the greens came to a close, it was back to the clubhouse for a delectable prime rib or salmon dinner. Speeches were made by CBS CEO Vicki Sylvester, PhD, and Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
