We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Vicki Sylvester, PhD, has been recognized as a Women in Business 2024 winner by Hudson Valley Magazine. This prestigious award celebrates her lifetime contributions to the disability care field and her exceptional leadership of our agency, Community Based Services.
She joins an esteemed group of female executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders from government and nonprofit sectors who will be honored at a special ceremony on December 5. Additionally, her achievements are highlighted in the November issue of Hudson Valley Magazine. You can read the full article here.
When Vicki joined the agency in 1981, it served just eight individuals in a single group home. Under her visionary leadership, the agency has expanded its reach to support over 300 people across the Hudson Valley, growing from its roots in Westchester County to now serving in the Capital Region. Through her pioneering approach, Vicki has completely redefined the way support is provided in the disability care field, setting a new standard for compassionate and innovative care.
This award is a testament to her unwavering commitment to innovative, compassionate care and the trust families place in her to guide their loved ones toward fulfilling lives. We extend our heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
