A Prestigious Honor, Voted by Peers
The Employee of the Year recognition is one of the most meaningful honors at CBS because it begins with a secret ballot vote by our dedicated direct support staff in both our day and residential programs. Their nominations shine a light on the qualities that make a true difference in our work, including:
- Impeccable Attendance – showing up with reliability and consistency.
- Creativity – bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
- Compassion – extending genuine care to the people they support.
- Strong Work Ethic – demonstrating unwavering commitment to excellence.
"I would like to extend a HUGE congratulations to Nick, Brendan, and all the nominees! I just wanted to take some time to acknowledge my coworker and friend, Nick Mancuso. Nick is one of the most dedicated, genuine, unexplainably hard-working individuals I have come across in 40 years on this planet. He is humble, cares deeply about the well-being of every individual we care for and our house as a whole. We have some overlapping duties and he amazes me regularly when he has somehow completed everything, taken people to appointments, sat in on video appointments, cleaned most of the house, poured meds, planned for the next day, trained someone, and is constantly thinking of ways to better the residence and make the lives of every person at our residence as fulfilling as possible. Nick is kind, dependable, a gifted and patient mentor, and an invaluable asset to this organization. He truly is someone I admire and it is a tremendous honor to work alongside him every day!"
